The remote telemonitoring solution developed under the COMO project was tested in one of the most affected hospitals during of the Covid-19 pandemic, Luigi Sacco Hospital in Milan, Italy. Led by the director of cardiology, Prof. Dr. Maurizio Viecca, the system was validated with patients admitted for interstitial pneumonia and acute respiratory failure in COVID-19 and successfully completed. Valuable observations were made that led to optimization of the system and provided some interesting insights about potential fields of use.
